- Facebook worm spreads with a lurid lure – "Some Facebook users have been infected with a worm after clicking on an image of a scantily clad woman, which then redirects the victims to a pornography site, according to security researchers."
- Google Maps Navigation Free GPS Comes to Android 1.6 Smartphones – "Google Nov. 23 made its Google Maps Navigation feature for Google Maps available for smartphones running the Android 1.6 operating system build and higher. This means users of the T-Mobile myTouch 3G and inaugural but clunky G1 can enjoy turn-by-turn voice directions."
- Apple iPhone Accounts For Majority of Global Smartphone Web Traffic – "According to a study carried out by AdMob, Apple iPhone holds nearly 50 percent share of the world’s smartphone web traffic while its rivals including the likes of Symbian and Palm are losing their market share."
- New iPhone ads stick up for AT&T – "Apple yesterday joined the fracas between AT&T and Verizon over 3G coverage with a pair of television commercials that defended its U.S. mobile partner.
The ads highlighted the ability of Apple's iPhone to take calls while simultaneously browsing the Web, sending text messages and reading e-mail when on AT&T's network. Both ads ended with the tagline "Can your phone and your network do that?," a reference to Verizon's inability to handle calls and other tasks at the same time."
