Karla Porter has had a passion for gadgets, technology and the internet long before Web 2.0 was ever defined. Her passion has been to challenge herself to figure out complicated processes, whether it be learning XHTML and CSS or how the newest web applications can be used to make life easier.
Blogging since early 2004, in late 2008, she took that passion and started Modern Media Mom (ModernMediaMom.com), with the purpose of educating others how to understand and use the latest gadgets, applications, software. After all, what good is technology if it’s too complicated to implement?
Recognized as an authority on social media and communications marketing, she currently consults with businesses looking to expand their business and web presence with the use of social media. She is also the owner and designer of Fruition Designs (fruition-designs.com) where she designs and creates beautiful blog designs, mommy cards, book covers and marketing materials.
